High-profile Americonians put on trial

UNITED FRIENDS OF AMERICA — A trial took place over Zoom on February 7, 2026 II.

Secretary of State Auden Watts was accused of treason by Vice President and Commissioner of the Peace Joseph Zientara, who wrote a warrant for his arrest. Former Nico Party leader Gabe Shelly was also put on trial, as was former presidential candidate Matteo Chirea.

While each citizen on trial had a warrant for their arrest, they all attended the trial willingly. It was conducted through a secure digital meeting platform.

Such a trial would likely take place at the Supreme Court level, but the UFA’s Supreme Court is currently vacant. Because of this, a makeshift lesser court was established. Member of Congress Galileo Townsend appointed himself as the presiding judge, which was accepted by prosecutor Joseph Zientara and defendant Auden Watts.

The court existed for three trials (around two hours). Several citizens who were not accused of any crime joined the meeting as spectators. Some of these spectators were disruptive, making jokes and rude comments. They also asked many questions, which provided a unique opportunity to educate citizens about the UFA.

The results of the trial will be revealed when Congress officially certifies the court’s legitimacy. If this takes place, it will be considered the first criminal trial in Americonian history and will likely set an important precedent for the future.
