On January 17, 2026, the Department of State recognized Canada, a country in North America. Canada is a nation of 41.6 million people and is known for its breathtaking landscapes, hospitable people, and maple syrup.
The State Department hopes to engage in mutually beneficial relations with the Canadian state in the future, as well as facilitate an exchange of culture between the peoples of the two nations.
