A Song for Our Democracy
The UFA's national anthem is "Mountains and Valleys", a song composed by Auden Watts.
The anthem was made official by executive decree during 2025 Q3 under President Faith Sedicum. It replaced the nation's previous anthem, "Nationalistic Propaganda", which was sung to the tune of "Yankee Doodle". Prior to "Nationalistic Propaganda", the national anthem of the United States was used as a stand-in for the Americonian one.
The new anthem is written in a 4/4 time signature. It is most commonly performed in the key of C Major, and features a simply yet iconic melody. It contains three verses, but only the first is typically sung.
Currently, it is the nation's only known patriotic song. There has been an effort to teach more people the anthem, as many citizens have never heard it before.
If you are a proud citizen of our nation, there is no better way to express your patriotic sentiment than with a song that unites us all.
Lyrics
Verse 1:
Mountains and valleys, forests and rivers
Bright stars in the skies above
Bright as the future of our homeland
The free nation that I love
Land where our flag waves on high
Purple, orange, and green shall fly
Through and through as the years go by
Our nation thrives
Verse 2:
Built from a dream, with hope everlasting
Our free nation stands proud and tall
Strong in a state of union and friendship
All for one and one for all
For democracy we stand
All united in heart and hand
For the Americonian land
We shall prevail
Verse 3:
Wide is the boundary of our homeland
Further still our dream expands
Strong is the bond of our free people
In a union of free lands
Our bright land of liberty
Shines for all the world to see
On and on for democracy
We shall strive on!
