A New Alliance

by Auden Watts

On July 8, 2025, the United States of Articles (USA) and United States of Electrical Dive (USED) were founded by two brothers, Sawyer and Ryder Wilson. Both nations are located within the U.S. state of North Carolina.

President Faith Sedicum appointed Auden Watts as the Ambassador to the North Carolinian States in order to facilitate relations between the nations.

Watts visited the two brothers at their home in North Carolina on July 9, 2025. Once there, the three negotiated a treaty on behalf of their countries. The treaty is officialy named “Treaty for the Alliance of the United Friends of America (UFA), the United States of Eletrical Dive (USED), and the United States of
Articles (USA)”, but has been called the “Mt. Olive Pact”.

Currently, the USA and USED are embryonic nations. While the USED has taken efforts to recruit more citizens,  both nations have a population of one. Neither have a constitution, government institutions, or an armed force.

The treaty states that the three nations shall correspond to discuss their respective diplomatic affairs and grants citizens of each nation the right to be employed in Americonian jobs. It also places a slight financial burden on the United Friends of America, requiring the nation to subsidize the economies of the other two. In addition, the treaty includes a defense pact, with each nation pledging to provide the needed resources should one nation fall under attack.

The Mt. Olive Pact marks the beginning of a new era of international collaboration. It is also the first time the UFA has signed a treaty with another nation. Thanks to the treaty, the UFA has not one, but two new state allies. However, the treaty is only a paper. It is the responsibility of Ambassador Watts, the Americonian government, and the governments of the USA and USED to ensure that bilateral relations continue. The Presidents of the USA and USED do not possess mobile phones, but they plan to communicate with the Americonian ambassador through the U.S. postal service.
