Faith Sedicum and Plog Pino Announce Presidential Run

On May 24, 2025, Member of Congress Faith Sedicum announced a presidential campaign in the upcoming election with her vice presidential running mate, Plog Pino. This makes her the first and only candidate to announce a bid for the presidency this election season.

Faith Sedicum has been an MC for two consecutive terms, as well as a provisional term when she was appointed by then-President Auden Watts. Since joining the UFA in late 2024, she has made various contributions to the UFA beyond her government role, not least of which is her production of hundreds of token banknotes as a Tokensmith, as well as writing multiple DEMOCRACY! News articles. Her policy proposals include establishing an Americonian soccer league, pursuing various environmental initiatives, and expanding the UFA responsibly.

Her running mate, Plog Pino, is a relatively new citizen of the United Friends of America and has never served in a government position. However, he has been eager to become involved in Americonian politics, beginning a vice presidential run very shortly after joining. He frequently uses the word "chim", which can refer to anything and is comparable to the Philadelphia slang "jawn". He has also frequently mentioned the concept of "chimocracy". In a political ad, Plog stated that he "won't make you eat eighty cheeseburgers a day, or, in all of the world, we won't make you eat a lamp". He also pledged "the best security" and that "our country or whatever this jawn is is gonna be safe".

While Faith Sedicum is currently the only candidate in the running for President, others are running for other offices. There is also still time for a new presidential candidate to emerge.
